This is the last Challenge, woo hoo!! They were so fun, even though I didn't do them all. Next year I will, maybe, lol.

Make a scrapbook page or card with a kids theme-


So I used some adorable monkey paper I have been saving to make a cute page with my little monkey on it. She couldn't have been older than 2 in this picture, she used to climb everything!!

Challenge # 11

So I skipped ahead to Challenge #11, I am still hoping to get number 10 done I am still working on it . The contest is over tomorrow night and I don't know if I will be able to finish it tomorrow. We will see :)

Use glitz, glam and glitter on your project-


To Glitz up my page I used sparkly paper from DCWV, Pink Distressed Stickles and Red Stickles, and little pink jewels from Heidi Swap, the cherries are cut from the Hello Kitty Cart.

Make a summer themed project-


I get to help plan fun activities for 8-12 year old girls from our church, one of our activities coming up in June is a Daddy/Daughter hike and bbq. So I came up with this for the invitation, good thing I have a month to make 24 more of them! :)

Okay, here is my entry for Challenge #7-

The Challenge for #7 is, Make a scrapbook page! I think this was my favorite challenge and favorite entry :)


I promised Miss K that her pictures will go on these pages, she loved them.
The paper is from DCWV, told ya I loved their paper (I have a ton :) The shaped paper was cut using the Elegant Edges Cart, ( THANK YOU Robin for sharing) the cupcake was cut using the Doodlecharms Cart.

Challenge #6

Here is My Pink Stampers #6 Challenge-

Incorporate a tag into your project.


I had to prop it up against the Beautiful roses I got from my sweet girls for Mothers Day, the book totally matches them :)

I made this mini book for one of the kids Teachers, I can't wait to give it to her!!

I used the cardboard from a cereal box and covered it with paper from DCWV. It has 6 pages in it, complete with photo and journaling mats.
I <3 my kids Teachers, they are Wonderful :)

Challenge #5

Challenge #5 was to make something 3-D

I am hoping this qualifies- I made a Narnia charm bracelet using pictures,
wood charms and beads.

My Pink Stamper Challenge #1

Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day and I got to spend some time scrapping with my friend Robin. We were following along with My Pink Stampers Challenges and made some fun pages and projects :)

Here is my Project for Challenge #1-

The challenge was anything cupcake, I made a cupcake birthday card-

I used my Doodlecharms Cricut cart. for the cupcake, and the paper is
from DCWV. Love their paper packs :)

Absentee Blogger

I have been a little absent lately. Not only did Hubby & the Kiddos start school, I was fast approaching a deadline I needed to meet. And that was keeping me pretty busy see-

I was given a job of scrapbooking a first year album and I wanted to have it done by this weekend. I finished it yesterday- 106 pages in 1 week, the creative part of my mind is numb now :)

But I am done, and now I can think about other things :)
Like homemade body butters and scrubs! And Pumpkin Bread! And finally having cooler weather, Yay!

I have a problem..... or 2 :)

OK, this is my problem......
I have been organizing my pages according year, I was just sticking them into books wherever there was room. so as I started to do this I thought I could get each year into its own book if I added extension posts to the books. Ummm this is going to have to be rethought out, this is Sept.- Dec. last year, and it's a bit crowded. SO, maybe I can get 4 months into a album and this means I need to go pick up a couple more albums, which will be hard, I so dislike going to craft stores ya know ;)

Also I had a comment from Ruth about how this must be time consuming, it's actually not to bad here are some examples of 5 min. pages-

Now as for anything past the 10 min. mark I start to loose patience, so I don't do much of that. With all the stress in my life lately I haven't been sleeping well, I keep waking up at 4:30 am unable to sleep, so I have been using that time to scrapbook. Which has actually helped me get a lot done :) I make & sell page kits, mini books, and do specialized albums, I also teach beginner, advanced and special technique scrapbooking classes. So trying to fit in my own scrapping has been a challenge, I am really thrilled to be getting so much of my own stuff done, yay! :)
Oh and my Hubby thinks I am addicted to ribbons and fibers, this is almost ;) all of them--

Progression is Good :)

I have been spending a lot of time scrapbooking lately, in the last two weeks I have gotten over 30 pages done! I'm pretty excited, I am still behind with my pictures but it's looking better. I have Sept- Dec 2008 completely done, I am working backwards :) I wanted to share a few that I finished :)

Papertake Weekly Challenge

I am entering a paper crafting challenge, I am sooooo excited :) I made a sweet little Christmas card to enter in. The Challenge is on the blog Papertake Weekly Challenge. So everyone please wish me luck. This is my one ever, & the first time I have ever scanned anything into my computer, as you could probably tell, it is a little crooked. Happy Monday All! :)

How to make a Mini-Book :)

This is what I do, my JOB :) It's definitely more lucrative in the summer when I have a weekly booth at the People's Market , & around the Holiday's when people are looking for unique homemade gifts :) First you round up all the necessary supplies.
Then you have to measure and cut all your paper (this is the WORST part). Then you adhere the cover, pages, then ends. This is my Favorite glue, it works VERY well & it's cheap. I have tried MANY, MANY different glues, I even bought a REALLY expensive book binding glue thinking it might work better, IT DID NOT! So, sometimes cheap is better ;)
After you do that you ink & chalk all your edges :)
Then you are ready to decorate :) So here we have our before picture......
And here is the after............


There you have it, 1 mini-book ready for pictures :)
