Officially Old

Ten years ago today I became a Mom, my little man is 10 years old :( It's a happy sad kind of thing. He is such a great kid, thoughtful, kind, helpful, My little Thinker. He is going to be a scientist or inventor is what he always tells me. It seems like yesterday he was born, I remember waiting and waiting for him, I was so anxious. I don't know how many times I folded and refolded his little clothes, or repacked my bag to take to the hospital! And after he came home his Daddy & I loved to just sit and watch him sleep. Worried about his choice of cupcakes being "uncool" he decided that brownies were a pretty safe thing to take school for his Birthday treat, Mint Chocolate Chip Brownies.
Happy Birthday K!!!! We Love you <3 <3 <3

Please Help!!

I remember seeing on a food blog a recipe where they baked chocolate cookie dough in a small ramekin and baked until almost done then topped with a scoop of ice cream & other goodies. I have looked and looked but can't find this anywhere! Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Now I have tried this the way I remember & it was good :) I want to find the recipe though. Maybe it was just a really good dream I had.......hmmmmm :)

3 Recipes & a Picture

Leftover Beef Stew

Leftover Beef skewer ingred.
Leftover Vegie Tray remains
Water to cover

Cook on low all day, than enjoy :)

I had a lot of leftover vegies and beef chunks from our BBQ so I threw it all in the crockpot the next day for dinner. Yum :) Things were so busy that I didn't get to take any food pictures but I have a couple recipes for you.

Super easy crock pot shredded BBQ Chicken

5 frozen chicken breasts
1-2 bottles bbq sauce

(how easy is that huh? :)

Now I put my ingred. in the crock pot the night before, about 11pm, on low and left it overnight. At about 11am I opened it up, removed the meat, shredded it with a fork, then added it back in for a couple more hours on low. Because the chicken was frozen I didn't add water, I didn't want it to get too runny. It was perfect served on large kaiser buns. There was none left after the bbq.

Now for dessert my Hubby wanted Tiramisu, But I couldn't find ladyfingers when I went to the grocery store that usually has them & I didn't feel like driving all over looking for them so I concocted my own recipe that my sis named-

Black & White Trifle

1 pkg chocolate wafer cookies
1pkg softened cream cheese
1 small pkg white chocolate instant pudding mix
1/2 cold milk
2 containers cool whip

Beat the cream cheese, slowly beat in the pudding mix, then the milk.
Beat until smooth, fold in 1 cont. of cool whip, whip it :)
Place a layer of cookies on the bottom your trifle bowl, add a layer of the cream cheese mixture, than a layer of cool whip, than a layer of cookies. Repeat until ingred. are gone.
Top with crumbled remaining cookies and keep overnight in the fridge.

This turned out really good, next time I make it I think I will double all my cream cheese ingred. except the cool whip. The way it was it only went about 3/4 the way up in my bowl. Because it sat overnight the cookies softened up, this reminded me of like a cookies & cream pudding or ice cream. Yummy :) Next time I will take pictures I promise!

Easter Fun

I didn't get any pictures of the process only the finished product. This year instead of just doing the regular old egg dying we decided to blow out some eggs and paint them. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be, the kids had a blast though blowing the stuff out of their eggs. And They had even more fun painting them.
Now to dye eggs this year I mixed 1/2c. warm water with 1T. white vinegar and about 4 drops food coloring. They used white crayons to make markings on the eggs then put them back in the dye, it worked pretty well :)
We have a lot of people coming over for a BBQ. I hope to get some pictures but we'll see, I did want to post my menu. More to get it in my head, I had it all written down in a little notebook, with my grocery list, that I left at the grocery store, aren't I smart :)

Steak & Vegie Kabobs
BBq shredded Chicken on buns
Crab Salad
Green Salad
Scalloped potatoes
Challah Bread
Jello with bunny marshmallows :)
Deviled eggs
Veggie platter
Brownies with Strawberries and Vanilla Ice Cream

Now I know I am forgetting something, I just can't think of what right now, hopefully I will remember soon!
Happy Easter!!!

Yummy Gooey Goodness & April Class Page Layout

My Hubby asked if I would make Seven Layer Magic Bars, he saw them somewhere & has been craving them. Now I have never made these so I did some looking online, and came up with one off of, big surprise there :) Here is a link to the recipe I used -> -> Seven Layer Magic Bars
Now I left off the nuts, cause my Family is already nuts enough :)
Here we have 'em

Ooey gooey yumminess

And boy howdy am I glad that half of these are going to my sister's house, she contributed the choc. & butterscotch chips, because these need to leave my house quickly. They turned out good, but very sweet, & I know the Hubby is gonna love them :)

Here I have pictures of the layouts for a class I'm teaching this month. I was thinking Spring, just ignore the fresh fallen snow outside my window :)

Some Sweetness

I just have a picture today-

Little Mama K and my niece K2, Little Mama K takes care of everyone, from the dog on up to the Daddy. She Mothers everyone, but Babies, Babies are her favorite. And here she is in Baby Heaven cause she got to give her little cousin a bottle. There is a lot more I could add, about her alter ego the mouthy 16 year old, but I don't have time. And she looks too sweet in this picture to be mouthy.

Thank you!!!
