No, I'm not sad. Sniffle, sniffle, cough SNEEZE!
I have the worlds worst cold! I am in agony, I can't breathe, eat, or sleep and my head is killing me. On the upside this should really, really, really be helpful for my diet right? ;)
Now I don't like taking pills, of any kind. But last night I gave in and decided to take the worlds most EVIL cough medicine, there is nothing grosser.
NyQuil.......gag......gag......gag
I HATE the stuff, and only use it in case of dire emergencies. Last night was definitely one of those. So I found the bottle of NyQuil the Hubby had stashed on his side of the medicine cabinet, measured out the right dose, grabbed myself a TALL glass of water to wash the nasty down. Plugged my nose......downed it...... drank 2 glasses of water.....gargled and spit 5 times......drank more water......finally I gave up and headed for bed still gagging. About 30 minutes later I fell asleep, and 1-1/2 hours later I woke up...... wide awake.... still can't breath, my head still hurts.
WHAT IN THE HECK!!!!!!!
So I lay awake trying to breathe, dozing off every once in awhile.
At about 4:30 am I give up and get up to go sit in my rocking chair and read, at least I have a great read going. I must have dozed off because the next thing I know my Hubby is wsking me up asking if I'm OK.
So I tell him all about by problems with his NyQuil, and he chuckles & tells me "Hunny, that stuff is really old, I tried it about a month ago & it didn't work" Chuckle Chuckle.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I drank that nasty stuff for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now I still can't breathe, eat or sleep & my head still hurts. And I'm mad :& and I hate NyQuil more than ever!
Hopefully it gets better quickly, I have a scrap night planned for tomorrow. I will just focus on that and go to my happy place.

OMG! Now I really think someone's passing it around. I'm sick too...same crap. Except my ear HURTS!!! I mean, it really, really hurts!!! You should get the Nyquil gel caps...they are SOOO much easier to get down!!! Hope you feel better soon!!! If not, I hope you have another good book! (That's how I'm getting through the ear-hurts-so-I-can't-sleep time). Get well!!!!!!!
You too! I will have to make a trip to the store & get some of those to try, and a new book for just in case :)
I don't think Nyquil works as well since they changed the formula. The cherry flavor is better than the green stuff, but still.....yuck! I hope you feel better soon!
So sorry you're sick! ALthough i had to laugh just a little.... I killed all my Mom's plants when i was a kid, because any time she went to give me cough medicine, I'd pour it in her houseplants when she wasn't looking! She always bought cherry flavored, and I can't eat ANYTHING cherry flavored to this day without gagging!
If you drink hot tea, try dropping a cough drop in it - it dissolves and when you drink it it reaaly helps. Not a cure, but releives some of the symptoms! Feel better soon!!! PSSSHHHHH <--- Me spraying the computer with Lysol again... ;)

Thanks gals! I spent the morning cleaning my house, spraying everything with lysol. I have my diffuser going with eucalyptus and ravensara oils. And last night I started guzzling water, my sis said that should help flush it outta me. It does seem to be helping, except I have to pee constantly, lol. I am starting to feel better so something must be working :)
I am battling a nasty one myself right now. I feel your pain! Try Sudafed or Tylenol cold and sinus! I've been taking anything I can get my hands on!
It sounds like this virus is traveling via computer! Too funny :)
Oh, I hope you're feeling better real soon...Nyquil just makes me sleep for 12 hours and then I feel woozy for another 6 or so...
Considering how many people seem to be sick in the blog world, I'm glad my computer has maximum VIRUS protection !
