My Mother-In-Law asked my a couple weeks ago if I knew how to crochet the top to those hanging dishtowels, I don't know what their politically correct name is, and I had no idea but I knew they didn't look to hard. So with the help of Google I came up with these tutorials

and with their help I became obsessed with making these fun, and totally functional, little beauties.
While in my search I also came across these-

You are so ridiculously crafty!! I envy your ability to just try and make something and do it well... in what seems like no time. I can be crafty... but it takes much more effort... and WAY more time! : )
those are sooo cute! I have bought a few of these over the years at craft fairs and wondered how they were made. you are very talented indeed!
betty
I have my Mommer to Thank, she taught me to sew and crochet when I was pretty little and she also taught me that there is nothing I can't do or make myself. She is an amazing seamstress and crafter, she makes some really beautiful stuff, if I want something really complicated or fancy sewn I call her :)
Boy girl you can do it all. So darn cute -- love them!!
You mean I'm not the only one with towels on the floor;D
This is a very creative and cute way to keep them off the floor!
I've seen these before but I've never liked them because they always use such cheap thin towels but I never thought to make my own. so cute!
Those look great !!!
I love these kind of towel add - ons...my Hubs Aunt, who passed away, used to make them all the time and I still have a few that she had given us over the years...every time I use one, I think of how talented, crafty and what scrumptious goodies she used to bake...Good memories !
Those are fantastic. I have seen the crochet version but never the pot holder ones...great gift idea.
