Fresh Herbs

I went down to a plant nursery here in town where my cousin works and found some TREASURES.
It seems like I am constantly buying fresh herbs from the grocery store and the market, so I thought it would be great to grow my own. Now I have tried this before & I have to tell ya I have no green thumbs or fingers :( I usually end up killing them, it is really sad.
BUT
I am trying again, I had a couple of matching blue pots from previous house plants that ummmm went to plant heaven shall we say.
I got 6 different herbs. 3 for each pot, it's been almost two weeks since I potted them and look......They're alive!!!!!

It's a miracle! I actually have trimmed down the basil twice already, now if I can just keep them alive.........

Pot #1 has- Oregano, Parsley, & Cilantro

Pot #2 has- Lemon Balm, Basil, & Rosemary

Now if I keep these growing I might have to go pick up a few more like Sage, Thyme, Lavender, Summer Savory...............

Congrats on keeping your herbs alive! I don't have the greenest thumb either, but I keep trying! I love having fresh herbs to snip for cooking. I think nearly every meal we had last summer had herbs in it. Grouper grilled with a little olive oil, fresh basil and fresh oregano was my favorite!

Your herbs look wonderfully healthy. Do you grow mint? I love to .. in a separate container, LOVE to use it for mojitos!

Would you plant some for me and set them up in my yard. Make sure you come by to water them too! (This is me too lazy but green with envy.)

The greens and blues are so pretty! I hope they thrive for you. I've never tried to grow herbs, but I don't have much of a green thumb either.

In fact I have a hanging basket on my back porch that a bird is using as a nest because the plant in it was dead. How sad is that?

See there are 2 more I need already! Sage and mint ;) I actually look at a pineapple sage, it really smelled like pineapple! I don't know what I would have done with it though.
Monica- lol, at least it's being used, I have several empty pots sitting in my garage from plants I have killed. I am really hoping to keep these ones alive :)
